James F. Kenny passed away suddenly on July 31, 2019. Born in the Bronx, NY raised in Yonkers NY and lived in NYC. Beloved son to Kathleen and James F.  Kenny Dear brother of Mary Kenny, John, Martin & Kevin. Uncle to Kieran, Jack & Owen, Maeve & Kate, brother in law to Ellen and Jeanie. As well as a loving boyfriend of 14 years to Alison Halpern. James worked as a manager & entertainer at Kenny’s Castaways in Greenwich Village, followed by the past 18 years at the Slipper Room NYC; aka Uncle Earl. He was a loving & caring son, brother, loving boyfriend & uncle. He will be dearly missed by all who knew & loved him…James always had a smile on his face always showing the love and reminding you that everything is perfect.     To the entire Kenny family. Words cannot express my sadness today. James was my first love, and I have a million and one memories of us young and innocent and sweet. High school. Junior Prom. Senior Prom. All of the cars. The corvette. The mail truck. The roller skates. Victoria Station. His beautiful eyes and his smile that lit up a room. James was a beautiful soul and am blessed I got to spend 4 really lovely years with him. I pray for all of you today, and I pray that he is roller skating with angels today. God bless.

    RIP James…my deepest condolences to family and friends. James and I were not great friends, but when we were together it was always laughter and music. He will be missed, as another piece of Bleecker St. departs for the next gig.
