She met her future husband, Timothy Vincent O’Donovan, also a West Cork native, at a cousin’s party in New York. They married in 1973, and raised two daughters, Anne Marie O’Donovan (Kevin Murphy), Jersey City, NJ, and Julie O’Donovan Siler (Tucker), Larchmont, NY. Her husband predeceased her in 2005. She was the beloved Grammy to Lucey, Timothy, and Donovan Siler and Daniel Murphy. She was intelligent, adventurous, fun-loving, and a passionate believer in progressive politics.
