Forstbauer, George William January 19, 1939 - August 28, 2023

George William Forstbauer, 84 years of age, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Dumont Center in New Rochelle, New York.  George was born January 19, 1939 in Queens, New York to the late George and Margaret Forstbauer. He was the middle child of three children, one preceded his passing.

George grew up in the Elmhurst section of Queens with his older sister, Madeline Nemeth and younger brother, Robert Forstbauer. In 1956, George enlisted in the United States Navy where he was an Aviation Ordnance-man aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA-42. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1960, George continued to serve his country in the reserves for two more years and lived his life as a proud veteran.

George was predeceased by his first wife, Eloise with whom he had a son, George and daughter, Kristine. George then married his second wife, Lucille Grimaldi with whom he had his third child, Joseph.

George was an entrepreneur who built several successful businesses in Westchester County and the surrounding areas. George distinguished himself as a loving family man and upstanding member of the community. His principles and values were centered around Family and the three “C’s”; that being, Christ, Country and Capitalism. This code was the moral backbone to which George lived his life.

George leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Lucille; children, George, Kristine and Joseph; and grandchild, Liam Parker.
