Eleanora S. Dunn (nee Sadowski) passed away on December 4, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Charles Dunn, loving mother of Claudia, Barbara, Charlie, Lorraine and Tom, devoted grandmother and great grandmother, dear sister and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ellie, as she was affectionately known was born and raised in Brooklyn to Sadie and Felix Sadowski where she attended St. Michael’s Academy and Bishop MacDonnell HS. She married the love of her life, Charles on October 29, 1949 and together they raised their 5 children in Crestwood NY. She was an active parishioner of Annunciation Parish in Crestwood and was also active in the Girls Scouts. She was very proud of her Polish heritage and made many traditional Polish foods. She was also accomplished at needlepoint, crocheting and many card games. Ellie will be missed by all who knew her. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 3 to 7 pm Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Annunciation Church, Crestwood.

I am a long-time friend of her daughter, Claudia, and met Mrs. Dunn when Claudia and I were attending Mercy College together. She was very welcoming and kind to me when I visited their home in Crestwood. Rest in peace, Mrs. Dunn.
