Lucille DeLucia (“Lu”), a loving sister, aunt, wife, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother and life-long resident of Bronx NY died peacefully on May 23, 2022 at the age of 83.
Lucille is survived her bother Daniel Desimone (Ruth) of Spring Hill FL, nephews Dan Desimone (Diane), Michael Desimone (Michelle), Stephen Desimone, John Desimone, niece Debra Desimone (Stefano), and her two step sons Blaise DeLucia (Eileen) and Larry DeLucia (Joanne) . She is predeceased by her brother Sal Desimone (Gloria), mother Helen Desimone and father Americo Desimone, nephew Robert Desimone, niece Karen Desimone and husband Larry DeLucia, Sr.
She was cherished by her grandchildren Jim (Eileen), Annie Piekarski (Chris), Michael and Robert (Cassie). She was a loving great grandmother to Grace, Aila, Rory, Kiely, Shea, Henry and Will. She really enjoyed our large Italian family gatherings on holidays, and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be at the McGrath Funeral home, 20 Cedar Street, Bronxville NY on Thursday May 26, 4pm – 7pm.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10am Friday May 27 at St. Philip Neri on the west side of the Grand Concourse at East 202nd Street, Bedford Park, Bronx NY.
