It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Vincent Cangro, who passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with ALS, just three weeks after celebrating his 86th birthday.
Paul found his greatest joy in being with family. He loved gatherings, celebrations, and any occasion that brought people together. Whether it was a birthday, a holiday, a phone call to check in, or an unexpected visit just to say hello, he believed that life’s greatest gift was staying connected to the people he loved.
He never met a stranger, only someone who would soon become a friend. A gentle, kind, and talkative man, Paul had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen, heard, and valued. He listened without judgment, offered thoughtful advice, and led with quiet humility. More than anything, he will be remembered not for what he did, but for how he made people feel.
He shared more than 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Domitlia, to whom he was deeply devoted. Their love was unwavering, and throughout his illness she cared for him with extraordinary strength, compassion, and patience. Together they built a loving family that was the center of his world.
He was endlessly proud of his children, James, Marissa, Rosemarie, and Paul Andrew, Son and Daughter in-laws and of his grandchildren. He celebrated their accomplishments, encouraged their dreams, and made sure each of them knew how deeply they were loved and valued. His greatest legacy is the example he set through his kindness, humility, and unconditional love.
Though ALS gradually took away his physical abilities, it never diminished the gentle spirit that defined him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his beloved family, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
