Margaret Vasso, of Bronxville, died Thursday, January 21, 2016, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Arthur “Otto” Vasso. Devoted mother of Diane (Sal) Capriglione and Karen (Joe) Galasso. Loving grandmother of Joseph and Kelly. Caring sister and sister-in-law of Eddie Vasso and the late Bridget, Louise, Rose, Pat, Ann, Vincent, Tony, Henry, Albert, Alfred Sr. and Louise. Special aunt and Godmother to many nieces and nephews. Her great love and support for her husband and children and caring concern for her family and friends were unmatched. She treasured every moment spent with her family and friends. She will also be remembered for weekly calls and kind words, as well her love of cooking, especially her eggplant parm. and Christmas cookies that always left a smile on people’s faces. She was an active, long-time parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Bronxville. She will be deeply missed. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 2 to 6 pm Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Monday, January 25 at 9:45 am, interment Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org
