Dolores V. Thompson, on September 25, 2013, died peacefully at home with her niece Susan at her side. Dolores will be remembered for her generous spirit and her great love for the children she taught. Dolores volunteered for many years with hospice patients at Mercy Hospice, Calvary Hospital and Jansen Hospice and always said she received more from the patients than she gave to them. Visitation at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 3 to 6 pm Friday. Mass of Christian Burial St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 9:45 am. Burial will follow at Old Calvary Cemetery in Queens. Instead of flowers donations may be made to Jansen Hospice or The Calvary Fund.
