Antonio “Tony” Rossi, 84, a longtime resident of Yonkers, NY, passed away September 30th 2014 at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY.   Originally from Ceppaloni, Italy, he emigrated to America in 1953, where he met and married his devoted wife of 45 years, Delia. Tony had a successful painting and wallpapering business in NYC. He loved to build, garden, bbq, drink wine and discuss politics with friends but mostly listen to his daughter Rosemary sing opera to him. He is survived by his sister Esterina of Benevento, Italy, wife Delia, son Joseph and his wife Kathleen, and their 3 children Anthony, Alex, and Ava of Robbinsville, NJ. His daughter Rosemary Kennedy and her husband Edward, and their son Luke of Bronxville, NY. Nonno always enjoyed his grandchildren’s company, energy, and youthful exuberance.  All that knew him loved, admired him and helped him battle Parkinson’s that he developed late in life. To honor Tony’s life, family and friends will gather at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 4 to 8 pm Thursday.  Mass of Christian Burial St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Friday Oct. 3 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tony’s memory to Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research, www.michaeljfox.org
