Margaret Puskar
365 Bronx River Road, Apt 3C Yonkers New York 10704
Margaret Puskar was born on August 10, 1929 to the late William and Margaret Puskar. She was also the beloved older sister to the late Barbara Puskar. Many will remember Margaret as an avid walker about town. She would share the joys of every season with her neighbors and was especially fond of their children. For every special season throughout the year, Margaret would come with a funny anecdote, a big smile and gifts for everyone.
Marge’s zest for life, family, her friends and animals was always apparent to those who knew her. She was always ready to share encouraging words and a warm smile with the people that she meets. Often she would visit the Bronx Zoo where she found comfort adoring the animals. The snow leopard was a favorite of hers, and she was ecstatic when three cubs were born at that zoo recently.
Margaret worked as a clerk at Gulf Oil for thirty five years before she retired to home. She later did a short time in real estate and subsequently just decided to live a low keyed informal life.
She belonged to the Church of Saint Joseph in her favorite town of Bronxville New York. Her faith was strong and ever present in her daily life.
Margaret died peacefully on February, 27th, 2015, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Margaret is survived by her cousins Viera Rackai, Sonia Rackai and Sofia Rackai. Also dear friends; Rhonda Baker, Lorraine, Bobbi and Cleveland Walters. She loved and was greatly loved by all. She will be deeply missed.
