Barbara A. Pecoraro, resident of Crestwood, NY, passed away on February 12, 2024. She was the cherished wife of the late Cyrus Pecoraro. Barbara was a loving sister to Virgina Breen and the late Cynthia Kreyling. She was the devoted mother of John C., Rosemarie Frenza, Mary Ellen Bartelini, Sue Ann Foote, Thomas Q., Barbara Ann Schiavone, Carol Jean Damon, Veronica Angelovich, Theresa Owens, Katherine Mac Shane, and Christine Figueroa. Barbara leaves behind a legacy as a grandmother to 32 grandchildren and a great grandmother to 24.
Barbara was an avid bridge player and enjoyed knitting handmade items, frequently gifting her creations to those in need. She also cherished listening to the opera, finding beauty in the music. In her leisure time, Barbara liked to watch Jeopardy, read novels, and travel.
She was a proud member of the Auxiliary VFW Post 375 and Ladies Auxiliary of the Firefighters Association of the State of New York. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home in Bronxville, on Friday, February 16th, 2024, from 3pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Annunciation Church in Crestwood on Saturday, February 17th, at 10 am.
