Jill D. O’Malley, the beloved wife of Michael O’Malley, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 26, 2016. She died at Kensington Assisted Living Facility in White Plains.

She was 76 years old.

Jill lived in Yonkers N.Y. all her life. She graduated from Oswego State Teacher’s College.

After that she taught elementary school for 35 years for The Yonker’s School System.

She was a dedicated and caring teacher. She loved the children she taught. Every child was special to her.

Jill loved animals, but had a special softness for birds of all kinds.

Her backyard was full of all sorts of exotic birds which she fed and

talked to daily. She knew each bird by its special call.

She believed that there was one special bird that sang for her every morning. When I went to her home, which was often, when this bird

sang she would say,” let’s have silence now and listen to that bird singing.”

That song lifted up Jill’s spirits.

Jill was well known for her quick mind and her great sense of humor.

She loved to laugh and have fun. She was a real peoples’ person.

She loved life and lived it to the fullest.

She has left behind two nephews, Craig Russell and Wade Russell as well as in-laws both in Ireland and England that she cared deeply for

and who cared for her to the very end.

She especially cared for Anne and Kathleen, her sister in laws, whom she referred to as ,”The Girls.”

She also left behind Tony her brother –in-law who was always there for her, as well as nieces and nephews , great nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Jill had a special relationship with Kris his wife Lisa and daughter Kaitlin Kablack whom she considered her family She so loved them.

Kris was her savior after her husband died.

He took very good care of Jill up to the very end.

We will truly miss Jill for she was such a big part of our lives.

I know she’s happy and at peace now.
