Barbarann McLoughlin nee McCormack, 57, passed away peacefully at her home in Crestwood, NY on October 20, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 23, 1965 in The Bronx, NY to Eugene and Brenda McCormack.
Barb was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, work colleague and friend. She is preceded in death by her father Eugene and survived by her mother Brenda, her husband William, her children Brendan Cormac, Katherine Elizabeth, Mary Bridget, and Michael Mannix, her siblings John (Katrina), Dennis (Julie), and Jeanne (Brent), along with so many other sister and brother in-laws, nieces and nephews, and cousins across a multitude of families.
After spending the first years of her life living in an apartment with her family in Riverdale, NY, Barb and her family moved to Florida where she spent the rest of her childhood making friends, laughing, and playing tennis.
Barb attended Pope John Paul II Academy in Boca Raton, FL before moving back to New York in her young adulthood to attend Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. While working as a waitress at The Kilt in Eastchester, NY, she met her loving husband who came in for a quick drink unknowing he would meet his future wife (thanks Peter).
Not long after that, Barb went on to marry Bill in October of 1994 and would go on to have four amazing children. Barb had deep passion for family and, above all else, a desire to always be a great wife and an even better mother. She accomplished this earnestly, spending her life creating a loving home through daily home cooked meals, dining room table board games, innumerable hours driving across the tri-state area to various children’s sporting events, just to name a few.
Outside of her family, Barbarann had many friends and went by many names – Barb, Barbie, BA, BAM, and Babs. She was a staple in her community and could be found at any and all Crestwood and Annunciation events. She had a true, honest zest for life and enjoyed any activity if it meant that she could be around people she loved.
Barb’s family, and everyone whose life she touched, are deeply saddened by her passing. She will be forever missed by many.

October 23, 2023 at 3:31 pmI remember the first time I met Mrs. McLoughlin, probably in 2014 or so. I remember learning she was from Boca Raton FL and thinking her childhood must have been so cool. I always felt welcomed by her. I appreciated her happy go lucky and deeply maternal disposition. Despite having 4 kids of her own, I always felt looked after by her. I will always remember our text exchanges during episodes of Big Brother, driving home with her and Mary B from basketball crying because we thought we were getting cut from the team, and of course the iconic reprimanding to behave ourselves (expletive-free version) ahead of Ring Night Eve. It was a privilege to know her these past several years.
To Michael, Mary B, Katie, Brendan, Mr. McLoughlin, and Mum Mum, may her memory live on in all of you. Sending love and comfort during this time.
Love,
Katie Canning
