McDonagh, Jane M February 5, 1953 - October 9, 2024

Jane (Roísín) McDonagh (nee Kelly) of Bronxville, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on October 9, 2024. The second youngest of 9 children, she was born in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, Ireland to John and Bridget Kelly.

Jane is predeceased by her husband Martin, parents John and Bridget, siblings Bernard, Sean, Eileen, and Briege. She is survived by her sisters Mary, Ann, Patricia, and Susan, and many relatives here and abroad. Jane spent her final days at her Bronxville home under the care of her sister Susan and beloved nephews Frank and John Paul.

Throughout her life, Roísín found great joy providing support and counseling services to thousands of people near and far at Katie’s Cottage, Maison Rouge, and other locations across the area. Her legacy is one of wisdom, inspiration, and kindness to others.

Visitation will be held at Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home in Bronxville, NY, from 4-8 pm on Tuesday October 14, 2024. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in Bronxville, NY, on Wednesday October 15, 2024, at 10:45am followed by internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jane’s memory to Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care or New York Presbyterian Westchester.

Mass: 10:45 am, Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville

    There will never be another Roisin ! Roisin you were one of a kind . You started in Katie’s 25 years ago the same time as myself . . You touched so many people with your kindness and wisdom including all of us in Katie’s and our children .. we all where lucky to have know you for all Those years. Thank you for that you will be greatly miss .

    Roisin, our lives in katies and our home lives will never be the same without you. You truly cared and loved all of us and our families. I honestly considered you part of my family, even though you were a devoted sister and aunt to your own family. You were an amazing person and friend. I miss you terribly. Love ya, Jackie.
