Audrey Mac Donnell, of Eastchester, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home after a long and joyful life. Audrey was born on July 2nd, 1942 to Christopher and Elizabeth (Ryan) Cromien in Dublin, Ireland where she grew up with her 5 sisters, Patricia, Pauline, Irene, Joyce and Lucy. In addition to her primary vocation as a wife to her devoted husband, Paul, and mother to five adoring children, Audrey served joyfully as a Eucharistic Minister throughout her life. She had a long and distinguished career with the Industrial Bank of Japan and later Mizuho Americas.
She and her husband Paul raised five children in Dublin, Ireland, and in 1985 moved to the Bronx, NY where they spent eleven wonderful years. They then moved to Eastchester in 1996 for the remainder of her life. She was predeceased by her parents and her five sisters. She is survived by her husband Paul of 59 years, and children; daughter Sheila and her husband Alfredo, son Paul and his long time partner Jacqueline, son Mark and his wife Margaret, son Bryan and his wife Janine, daughter Jennifer and her long time partner Albert, and eleven beloved grandchildren; Declan, Connor, Niall, Kelly, Ryan, Ailish, Jackson, Oliver, Marcella, Ava, and Shea along with two great grandchildren, Mila and Charlie. Audrey was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Calling hours will be 4-8 pm on Thursday, December 21st at Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, 20 Cedar St, Bronxville, NY. Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at the Church of Immaculate Heart of Mary, 8 Carman Rd, Scarsdale, NY, on December 22nd at 11:15 am with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
