Dorothy Mary Gollow Heath went to her Lord on May 25,2021. Dorothy was born in Bronxville, NY to Dorothy and Frank N. Gollow in 1937.She was the older sister of Francis N Gollow Jr. from Washington Depot, CT, who survives her, and the mother of George Stanton Heath.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception Elementary School, Bronxville High School, Class of ’54,Bradford Junior College, and received a BA in English from Our Lady of Good Counsel College “58. She received a Masters degree in Education from New Paltz State Teachers College in New Paltz, NY
Dorothy enjoyed working with children. She taught at Greenvale Elementary School in Eastchester, NY.
Dorothy was resident of Chester ,CT for many years, and was an active member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Chester.
Dorothy loved sports, played tennis, and loved to sail.She became a fan of the Boston Red Socks and never missed a game on TV. She closely followed the PGA Golf Tournaments and admired the players skills.Dorothy had an amazing memory and knew all the players names and life stories. She never forgot a person’s name . She was always polite ,kind, and always a lady.
Dorothy had great faith. She prayed the rosary daily.She so loved the Blessed Mother.Dorothy has now joined Our Lady in Heaven.

June 19, 2021 at 2:27 pmI was a student of Miss Gollow, Mrs Heath and never forgot what a great teacher she was. She got married in Bronxville a d invited the whole class to see the wedding! A day I haven’t forgotten! I am so glad I was in her class and carry such fond memories of her.

December 23, 2021 at 4:41 pmDorothy was a member of the Third Order of Mary, at Our Lady of Sorrows Essex CT , which merged with St Joseph’s in Chester CT. She always had a smile, mentioned how she loved teaching and the Blessed Mother. She enjoyed people and often attended the Fish Frys at St Joe’s.It was always a joy to see her. May she spend Christmas with Our
Lady and Baby Jesus.

We kept in touch every year at the holidays, and so just learned of her passing. She was the epitome of a good person and brought a great deal of happiness to the world. We are so grateful for having known her.
