Claudia Halbauer passed away on March 30th 2026, surrounded by her children and their spouses, Donald, Jean and Terri, Keith, as well her six grandchildren, Claudia, Stephanie, Samantha, Jack, Corinne and Justin. She spent her final days laughing and reminiscing on fond memories with all her family, friends and loved ones.
Born on July 19th 1943, Claudia was raised by her father Stavros in New York City with her siblings, Jimmy, Catherine, Alexandra, Geraldine, Mary, Elaine and Nicky, all of whom pre-deceased her and Missed them greatly. She went to school at St. Basil’s in Garrison New York and later lived in Manhattan and the Bronx. In 1965 she married her husband Donald Halbauer and they raised two adoring children, Donald and Terri, alongside many furry friends, most notably Sheba, Fluffy and Daisy.
Claudia loved her family most of all and enjoyed collecting, music and the sun. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzler and a shark at 500 Rummy. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and laugh and her warm heart. All who knew Claudia will miss her.
