October 11, 2022 at 9:12 pmI met Owen at ConEdison in the Bronx Cable. He was thrilled to hear I was of Irish descent with a mother that had the Irish brogue. We worked side by side & he was always the jokester. He had the biggest smile! I’ll never forget that smile all over his face!
Years later we became reacquainted when we ended up in Eastview. He was in the #9 tool room & I was in the Overhead.
I ran into him more years later through the ConEdison retirees club. He told me he moved from the Bronx to Eastchester. I told him I grew up in Crestwood. Ironically he hung his hat at The Pipers Kilt. A place many years earlier I had been a frequent visitor.
I’ll miss seeing Owen at retiree functions. He was one of my favorites. RIP brother.
