Cirigliano, Anthony J. “Tony” August 31, 1940 - September 5, 2018

Anthony “Tony” Cirigliano, 78, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Calvary Hospital following an unexpected series of strokes.He will forever be remembered by his daughters Lynn Cirigliano Spry and June Melnyk, his seven grandchildren, his brother James Cirigliano, two nephews, four nieces and many close friends and family members.Born and raised in the Bronx, the son of Pasquale and Emily Cirigliano, Tony was a long time resident of Crestwood and a parishioner of Annunciation Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of over thirty years, Adele DiPaolo.  Their first date was on Valentine’s Day, 1969.  They were married August 14, 1971 at St. Barnabas Church and were together until her passing in 2002. Tony enlisted in the Army in 1966.  After being honorably discharged in 1968, he joined the police force and graduated from the Police Academy in 1970.  He eventually retired from the New York City Police Department as a Lieutenant.  In 1996 he became a US Customs officer until his retirement in 2015. Calling Hours will be held at Fred H. McGrath & Son’s Funeral Home Sunday, September 9thfrom 2-5 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on September 10th, at Annunciation Church, Crestwood.
