Thomas S. Bellone
July 16, 1953- April 21, 2024
Thomas S. Bellone of Bronxville, NY died suddenly at home on April 21, 2024 at age 70. Tom was born and raised in the Bronx, NY and was proud of his Bronx roots and Fordham education, having attended Fordham Prep, Fordham College, and Fordham Law School. He spent his entire legal career advocating for the rights of injured workers at the law firm of Sher, Herman, Bellone & Tipograph, where he served as its Managing Partner. Tom was very dedicated to his firm and was especially pleased that he had the privilege of sharing his professional life there at various times with his brother, his father and his two sons.
He resided in Bronxville for more than thirty years, and treasured and enjoyed his many friends in the community. He was an avid walker and swimmer, and in recent years had rekindled his interest in chess. Tom will be remembered for his social and outgoing nature, his love for regaling his friends and family with entertaining stories and his sage advice and guidance. Tom enjoyed the simple things the most: beginning each day with morning coffee on the patio with Rosemarie and returning home to her for dinner at the end of each day; family barbecues in his backyard; blasting his oldies music; Yankee games with his boys; local beach trips on sunny days; and happy hour with his crew. Above all else, he was a dedicated family man in every sense.
Tom leaves behind his loving wife Rosemarie; his devoted sons, Thomas Jr. and Michael; his brother Larry Bellone (Sarah), his sister Susan Larrabee (Len); five nieces and nephews; a large extended family; and many close friends and colleagues. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Marie and Simon Bellone, and his younger brother, Robert Bellone.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 3 to 7 pm, at The Fred H. McGrath Funeral Home located at 20 Cedar Street, Bronxville, NY. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 53 Winter Hill Road, Tuckahoe, NY on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 9:30AM. Interment will be at the Gate Of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tom’s name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, the Wounded Warriors Project or the Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.

April 23, 2024 at 10:56 amMy sincere condolences to the entire Bellone family, I have known Tom since I was a child growing up on Decatur Avenue in the Bronx. He and Bobby were very good friends of my brother Robert. I was reunited with Tom later in life when I ran into him at Fogarty’s and I have seen him several times since and had many conversations with him about the old neighborhood. He always greeted me with a friendly smile and warm hug. I will miss him. May he rest in eternal peace.

April 23, 2024 at 12:02 pmA little after 9:00 p.m. on Monday and my phone range. When I say that the call was from “Tom Bellone”, I quickly picked up expecting to hear my good, long-time friend and fellow graduate of Fordham Law School the phone only to the voice of Rosemarie. She immediately confirmed what I automatically feared: the Tommy had passed away. To say that I was stunned is an understatement. Tommy and I were very close friends for so many, many years through thick and thin, and I was fortunate enough to share many special and family occasions throughout those yeas. He was full of life and vigor, yet a sensitive, caring man, devoted to his wife, parents, brothers and sister, as well as a cadre of relatives and close friends, all of whom showed their mutual love and affection for him. In this I wholly concur. He is already sorely missed in my mind and heart. Be at peace. I shall continue to pray for you and Rosemarie, and remember your family in my prayers . /S/ “Mich E. Blues”
