My first day in New York I was welcomed into Matty’s home. We have remained friends ever since. I enjoyed the hospitality of his home and Maureen and the kids always made you feel welcome. I have so many stories, many of which could never be published. Suffice to say that Matty was a character in the best sense, larger than life and his passing leaves a huge hole in our lives. May he rest in peace.

We are so sad to hear the passing of Matty Bane. My family and I used to summer with the Bane family many years ago in East Durham. Thinking of all the Bane family during this difficult time and hoping all your fond memories bring you comfort.
All our love, The Corbett Family
