Wundeler, Frank J. November 22, 1931 - May 20, 2019

Frank J. Wundeler passed away in his home on May 20th surrounded by his loving family. He was born in the Bronx, NY to Frank and Anna Wundeler and was the oldest of four children. Frank met Joan, the love of his life, on a park bench in Pelham Bay and they were happily married for 66 years. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Linda Ann and Theresa Gerry, and eventually settled in Yonkers where a lifetime of memories have been made for their family. Frank became a member of the NY Army National Guard in 1961. As a soldier, he obtained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. As a Civilian Technician, he was an Automotive Foremen, WS-8 (Chief) of the Organization Maintenence Shop (OMS) #30 at the Kingsbridge Armory, Bronx NY. He retired in November 1991. Frank is predeceased by his daughter Theresa, sister Joan, brother Edward, son-in-law John, and his fur-children Gypsy, Michelle and Lovey. He is survived by his wife Joan Wundeler, daughter Linda Roschen, granddaughters Kristy Hartman and Amy Staniszewski, grandson Cory Hartman, great-granddaughter Hannah Hartman, brother William Wundeler, and his poodle Sweetie. Frank was the cornerstone in his families lives and the most devoted, kind-hearted man. He had a wonderful sense of humor, often laughing at his own jokes and kept anyone that was in his company smiling. He loved life, treated every day as a gift and will be terribly missed. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 30th from 7pm-9pm at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home in Bronxville. God Bless you Frank J.
