Terry Wilson died on October 23, 2016. Born of Irish immigrant parents from Galway and Kerry, she became the quintessential New York girl of the 1940’s, attending Cathedral High School, working part-time jobs in Manhattan, and starting Hunter College but stopping to marry and raise a family. She was the beloved wife of the late Bill Wilson, and the proud mother of Nancy, Billy, Chris, Steve and Ed. Once the boys had families, she had the pleasure of four daughters-in-law who brought tremendous joy and love (Malissa, Suzie, Catherine and Susan), and she became the proudest and happiest of grandmothers to Christopher (Jennifer), Jillian, Joey, Grace, David, Kyle and Lily. In the 70’s, she returned to college, got a Masters, and was a Speech Pathologist holding a prominent role in the Yonkers Public Schools for 25 years, a career she relished. Since 1958, she worshipped at St. Eugene’s; her faith was vital and true. Retired for 16 years, she has enjoyed travel and family time, but now has gone to God. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Inc., Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 5:30 to 8:30 pm, Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Eugene’s Church, Yonkers, on Wednesday, October 26, at 10 am. Private burial. Mass cards or charitable donations in lieu of flowers.
