Toal, Frances R April 22, 1941 - January 30, 2026

Frances Toal, 84, of Bronxville, NY, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Born in the Bronx, Frances was the beloved daughter of the late Frances (née Nagle) and Michael Toal. She was a devoted sister to Catherine (William) O’Meara and Christina (Anthony) Cosgrove and the late Mary Toal and Michael Toal. She will be lovingly remembered by her many cherished nieces and nephews, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

Fran’s life reflected a deep commitment to faith and family. She was a devoted sister and a treasured aunt whose presence brought fun and laughter to everyone around her. She embraced life with a spirited heart and a true zest for adventure.

At 40 years of age, Fran put herself through school and proudly graduated from Fordham University Business School. She went on to devote many successful years as an auditor at Citicorp.

Fran’s love for adventure took her around the world with her ski club and on cruises and golf outings with dear friends. A diehard Yankees fan who enjoyed dining out and going to the movies, Fran also had a special fondness for dogs, especially her beloved Shih Tzu, Oreo. You could always find Fran on the dance floor at any wedding as she always loved a good party.

Fran will be remembered for her joyful laugh, her strong faith, and the fond memories she leaves behind.

I am very sorry for your loss.
I just love Franny Toal. She was very impressive.. an independent who never needed to ask permission to be who she was and she was great.
Fran was tall, beautiful, smart, funny, always well dressed, and she was blonde. How great was that.,
Whether we met in front of the Frick or on the street in Bronxville or at a family function, Fran always brought a smile to my face. We would always have a little chat about the family share a laugh, and I would always leave her with a bigger smile on my face.
I am very grateful and thankful for having Franny Toal grace my life.
    It was great, grand, excellent.
    Forever loved, Cookie
