Severo Rodríguez, Jr. (Rod) was born on November 22, 1948. He passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on September 4, 2026.
After his stint as a New York City Transit Police Officer, he served in the U. S. Navy. Upon discharge he pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Drug Counselor. He was also a very big mentor to his AA family and helped so many.
Severo was preceded in death by his beloved mother this past May. He took care of her with so much love.
He is survived by his brother Edwin, sister Irene(and Jose)and brother, Joey (and ToniAnn). He also leaves behind his nieces, Jessica, Alexis, Nina and Rose and two wonderful great nephews of whom he was extremely fond, Abel, Jr. and Alex.
Rod was loved by many and will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 15 Cedar street, Bronxville, NY.
Donations are welcomed in his name to the American Cancer Society, the Lustgarden Foundation or any other Pancreatic cancer society.
