Rodesky, Johanna July 24, 1922 - June 3, 2019

Johanna Rodesky (nee Zucconi) a lifelong resident of Yonkers passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2019.  Johanna is survived by her beloved daughter, Jean Marie Dietze and her husband Carl and her dear daughter-in-law Theresa Rodesky McCarthy and her husband William.  Johanna also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Rodesky, Kathryn Rodesky, and Michael Dietze.  Johanna is predeceased by her husband Chester (1957), her son Robert (2002) and her grandson Carl J. Dietze (2007). She is also predeceased by her parents Desolina and Paolo Zucconi and three sisters Rose, Mary, and Louise and brother Joseph. Johanna worked for the Food Service Department of the Yonkers Board of Education for many years until her retirement in 1988.  She was an avid gardener and grew the best vegetable garden in the tri-state area. Calling Hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 9 to 10:30am, Thursday, June 6.  Mass of Christian Burial at St Bartholomew’s Church, Yonkers immediately following at 11am.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Bartholomew Church, 15 Palmer Rd, Yonkers, NY 10701 would be appreciated.
