Rinaldi, Anthony Thomas “Tom” April 10, 1952 - February 2, 2026

Anthony Thomas “Tom” Rinaldi, born April 10, 1952, in Mt. Vernon, New York, passed away on February 2, 2026.

Tom was born to Carol and Anthony Rinaldi and grew up with a strong work ethic and deep love for his family and community that defined the rest of his life. For 50 years, he owned and operated Rinaldi Tile and Baths, building not only a successful business but lasting relationships with customers who became friends. He was an artisan and created photo-worthy bathroom designs.

Beyond his work and his family, Tom’s greatest joy was coaching. Fondly known as “Coach Tom,” he dedicated many years to coaching baseball and softball, positively impacting the lives of countless young athletes. Many of which became lifelong friends of his daughters’.  He was deeply loved and will be remembered by so many of his players for his encouragement, patience, and steady presence both on and off the field. He added light to many lives through his sense of humor and unique way of looking at the world.  We’ll never forget his seemingly endless supply of jokes and stories.

Tom also had a lifelong passion for music and could often be found singing at local jam sessions in White Plains, New York, sharing his love of song with friends and fellow musicians.

He leaves behind his children: his son, Tom, and daughters Kristy, Ashley, and Lisa. He was a proud grandfather to his beloved granddaughters Ella, Stella, Ema, and Penelope, who brought him immense joy. He also leaves behind his life partner, Barbara and his stepsons, Connor and Matt.

Tom will be remembered as an incredible father, stepfather and grandfather, as well as for his voice, his mentorship, and the many lives he touched through his work, coaching, and music. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, players, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
