Born in New York City on July 1, 1927, Mary Virginia Quinn passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at age 98 at the Sarah Neuman Nursing Home.
Virginia was the oldest child of Sabina and James Quinn. She grew up on the Upper East Side of New York, where she attended St. Ignatius Loyola Elementary School and Cathedral High School. Virginia later received her Associate Degree in Arts at New York University.
She spent most of her career as an Executive Assistant at American Home Products (now Pfizer Corporation). Her interests and hobbies included travel, skiing, and classical music.
In retirement, Virginia was an active member of her Catholic church and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Beth Israel Hospital. She was the dedicated caregiver for her mother until Sabina’s death in 1990.
Virginia is survived by her sister Margaret Patricia Connolly; 8 nieces and nephews, Pamela Connolly Minetti, Jerome Connolly, Philip Connolly, Barbara Connolly Keady, James Connolly, James Quinn, Thomas Quinn, and Courtney Quinn; 18 grand nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, James, Charles, and Regan Keady, Elena, George, and Christina Connolly, Gregory, Charlotte, and Russell Minetti, Christian and Jared Connolly, Jack, Luke, and Liam Connolly, Brendan, Vienna, and Patrick Quinn; and one great grandniece, Margaret Keady.
She was preceded in death by her brothers James and Thomas.
A funeral will be held on Thursday, September 11th at 9:45 at St. Joseph’s Church, 15 Cedar Street, Bronxville, NY 10708
