Promuto, Susan Ellen June 13, 1941 - July 24, 2018

Susan Ellen Promuto, 77, of New Rochelle, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born in Philadelphia, PA, on June 13, 1941, to Helen and George Testa. Susan was raised in Philadelphia, graduated from Saint Maria Goretti High School in 1959 and was employed by the Curtis Publishing Company. On September 11, 1965, Susan married Salvatore Promuto, of the Bronx, NY. In 1965, Susan and Sal moved to New Rochelle, New York. She enjoyed classic movies, knitting, reading, history, geography, music, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Susan had the most remarkable ability to reach people in a loving and positive way. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Salvatore, daughter Sondra and her husband David Lieberman, their children Joshua and Sloane, her son Louis and his wife Danielle (nee Palmiotto) their children Jaxon, Corey, and Harley, her daughter Shana and her husband Steven Kasarda. Susan is also survived by her sister Elayne and her husband Seth Glick along with her brother John Testa.

Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 3 to 7 pm Friday. Mass of Christian Burial St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville on Saturday July 28, 2018 at 9:45 am. Interment will immediately follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
