Venice Polidoro, daughter of John and Gilda Santoro, died Monday  at her home in Cos Cob, CT. Preceding her in death were: her parents, two brothers: Arthur and Roger, a sister: Virgilia Santoro, her husband: Dr. Peter L. Polidoro, and her son: Dr. Victor V. Polidoro. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA where she lived until her marriage of 1949. After which she (with husband and mother-in-law: Louise Polidoro) lived in the Scarsdale/Yonkers area raising five children. She loved to entertain and hosted numerous dinner parties at Scarsdale and Candlewood Lake. She also dedicated her time to caring for others both professionally and personally. She had numerous lifelong friends: theO’Rourkes, the Massas, and the dear “Petunias.” Venice leaves (to remember her with love): her sister and brother-in-law:Juliana and Tom Kelly, three sons: Roger (wife: Gwynn), Peter Jr., Steven(wife: Pamela), and her daughter: Lynn (husband: Stephen Savoris). She is also survived by five grandchildren: Peter, Victor, Jessica, Zachary, and Emily, as well as her nephew and niece: Jeffery and Julie Doerr who will miss her dearly.The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude Calina and Sonia who cared for Venice the way she cared for others. Visitation will be held at:  Fred H. McGrath & Son Bronxville NY. during the hours of 5 pm – 9 pm.on Friday, July 25. The funeral service will be held at 10 am on July 26 at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Burial will follow the funeral at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
