Mary (nee Kelly) O’Toole from Crestwood, N.Y. died on Thursday, August 4th at the age of 71. Mary was born March 4, 1951 in the Bronx, N.Y., daughter of the late James and Rachel Kelly, both of Ireland. Mary attended Our Lady of Refuge Elementary School where she met Donald, her beloved husband of 47 years. Mary was extremely proud of her nursing degree and her time serving patients at Jacobi Medical Center. After they wed on March 22, 1975 Mary and Donald made homes in the Bronx, Hartsdale, and Evanston, Illinois before settling down in Crestwood where Mary was an active member of the Annunciation parish and community. Mary made the most perfect (and spotless) home for her family and was a devoted mother and the biggest cheerleader for her four children Brianne (Emmet) Donnelly, Mara (Jim) Briggs, Patrick (Erin) and Conor. Dedicated “Mom” to Molly and Rory and “Granma” to Camdyn; beloved sister to Kathy (George) Elliot and wonderful cousin, aunt and friend to many. Mary was pre-deceased by her brothers Jimmy, Joe, Tommy, and Colin. Viewing will be held at Fred H. McGrath & Son Inc. Funeral Home on Sunday, August 7th from 3-7pm and Monday, August 8th from 4-8pm. Mass of the Christian Burial takes place on Tuesday, August 9th at 11:30am, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
