Dear Maryann and Jaimie, I just learned that Janie passed away. Terese Foy Cameron contacted me to be sure I knew. I just got out of the hospital with knee replacement surgery and traveling is out of the question. I wish I could be with you but am grateful that her Mass will be live-streamed. I will be with you in spirit . I know how close you were and will have the sisters pray for you and your family during this difficult time. She was a dear friend. I will miss her .

I knew Jane as the Head Nurse at Einstein, when I did my Obstetrical training in the late 1970’s. I remember her competence, efficiency, and wicked sense of humor, even under duress. She was an asset to our profession!
My condolences to her beloved family and friends.

I was friends with Jane in high school at SHHS and in ‘the band”. I remember fondly how she ran the practices while we were waiting for the instructor to come to the fife girls. I spent many a day with her while she baby sat for the Schofield children and many a Saturday wandering through Macy’s. A goup of us met every school day in front of your building so we could walk down the the Circle to catch the Q44. Unfortunately once she went off to nursing school and I headed off to college, married and moved away we lost touch. Over the years I wondered often how she was doing. We did connect briefly on Facebook but she wasn’t very active there so I didn’t discover she had passed away until a few days ago. I do want to offer you and you family my belated condolences.
    Sincerely,
    Marilee (Herber) Talmage
