James F. Lysaght of Bronxville passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2019. Jim is the beloved son of the late James and Margaret Lysaght and dear brother of Robert Lysaght. Jim was a graduate of Iona Prep, Fairfield University and George Washington Law School. Jim had a successful law practice in Bronxville for over 30 years. Jim was very active within the community volunteering for Meals on Wheels and Midnight Run to assist the needy; he also served as an evaluator for the Community Fund of Bronxville initiatives. Jim’s enduring legacy will be his commitment to the Bronxville Rotary Club. He served as President, 1985-86 as well on the Boards of both the Rotary Club and the Rotary (Charitable) Foundation. Jim’s “Service Above Self” earned him the prestigious Rotary Paul Harris Fellow Award. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville will be between the hours of 5 to 8pm Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sts Peter & Paul Church, Mt Vernon (Fleetwood), on Saturday March 9, 2019 at 10am. In Lieu of Flowers contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to the Bronxville Rotary (Charitable) Foundation.
