Lombardi, Lia September 9, 1934 - December 4, 2025

Lia Lombardi, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 4th, 2025 at the age of 91. A longtime resident of the Bronx, New York, Lia was born and raised in Arpaese, Italy carrying with her throughout her life the traditions, warmth, and resilience of her heritage.

Lia was married for 61 years to her devoted husband, John Lombardi, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and family. Together they raised two children, Dino and Angela, who were the pride and joy of her life. She was a devoted mother-in-law to both Pat and Teresa. Lia’s legacy continues through her four cherished grandchildren—John, Anthony, Gerard, and Ella (Siucaiella)—each of whom brought her immense happiness and joy.

Known for her generous spirit and her extraordinary ability to make everyone feel at home, Lia expressed her love most clearly through cooking and gathering her family around the table. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, her meals a reflection of her deep affection, and her laughter a constant reminder of the joy she brought to others. You never left her home without something to eat or something from the garden. Lia had a welcoming smile and made a lasting impact on everyone she met.

She faced life’s hardships with grace, and carried a heart too generous for anything other than pure love. Her strength was quiet and her compassion boundless. Although she is not here with us physically anymore, all of her remarkable qualities will forever live, engraved in the hearts of her loved ones.
