David Lemeshow, Founder and President of Pharm-Rx Chemical Corporation, died unexpectedly of natural causes on 3/25/20 at his home in New York City. He was 63 years old. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from State University of New York at Binghamton in 1979, he worked as a chemist and salesman until he founded Pharm-Rx Chemical Corporation in 1991, a marketing and distribution company of fine chemicals for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. He was known for his dedication and loyalty to his customers and, with the help of an exceptional team, he built a company with a reputation for quality and excellence.
David was the youngest of 3 boys born in Brooklyn, New York to Gladys and Joseph Lemeshow. His father passed away when he was only 6 years of age. Despite his success in business, he remained, in many ways, a Brooklyn boy at heart. He was a self-described foodie who appreciated a good slice of pizza as much as a gourmet meal. He had a goofy sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He loved baseball, Broadway theater, and just listening to music and hanging out with good friends. He supported a variety of charities, including organizations assisting individuals with autism, and charities devoted to helping needy children and animals. He was also an avid supporter of the arts.
He is survived by his children Rachel and Zachary, his two brothers Stan and Malvin, 5 nieces and nephews, and many long time dear friends. He is pre-deceased by his mother Gladys Lemeshow-Shanaback.
He will be missed by family, friends, and business associates and will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his sentimentality, and his loyalty to those he loved.
