Lawler, Robert J. June 19, 1937 - March 25, 2023

Robert “Bob” J. Lawler of Bronxville, NY, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023 at age 85. Bob was born on June 19, 1937 in Yonkers, NY to the late John and Katherine Lawler. He is survived by his wonderful and devoted wife, Marianne, of almost 56 years; his three children, Beth and her husband Scott, Jennifer and her husband Andy,  Keith and his wife Isabella.  Bob was the very proud granddad (also known as Granddude) to 4 grandchildren: Matthew, Jason, Clara and Caitlin. He is also survived by his brother Richard and nephew Richard; brother-in-law Joseph and wife Kay and their son Benjamin and wife Kristin and their two daughters Sawyer and Blair.  Bob graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers in 1955, and was a proud Manhattan College alumnus, class of 1959, where two of his children also graduated. After graduation Bob first worked for Arthur Young & Co., and then received his NY State CPA License in 1962. He then went to work for Harriman Ripley, and in 1966 was hired by Dominick and Dominick (D&D). He became CFO and Exec VP of D&D in 1974.  He then went on to create Prentice Securities from which he retired in 2002. He loved debating with anyone, all things history, current events, gardening, garage sales, but most of all spending time with his family. Our fondest memories are the summers we spent on Cape Cod, and for being long time members of the Larchmont Shore club. His favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas. Nothing brought him more joy than to decorate the house and be surrounded by family.
