My deepest sympathy to the family, friends and NYCHA colleagues for your loss. John was an amazing man. It was John who always made himself available to accompany me during my home visits at Ravenswood Houses in my early years there. He was a great one and he will be missed. Rest now John, you did good to all you served.??

Words can not describe what a quiet, humble man John was to us. He was not only brilliant but funny and an expert like no other on college football… my son Chris Elia loved him and had a strong bond over there love of football… he will sadly be missed by the wonderful Moore family… ?

John was a charismatic and great person with whom I had the pleasure to work with. At the time I knew him, he always had a joke or kind words to share. He was a mentor and a great colleague going above and beyond to help others. He will be greatly missed. I send my deepest prayers and condolences to family friends and those who loved him dearly.
