Houlihan, Joan August 10, 1937 - October 7, 2024

Joan Margaret (Pallace) Houlihan, born August 10, 1937, died peacefully on October 7, 2024.

She is survived by her children: Jeremiah A. Houlihan, II of Southbury, CT; Patrick P. Houlihan (Diane) of Camden Wyoming, DE; Edward D. Houlihan, Jr. of Southbury, CT; Kevin G. Houlihan (Joann) of North Salem, NY; and Terence J. Houlihan (Eileen) of Ridgefield, CT.  She was predeceased by her husband, Edward, Sr.  Joan was grandmother to Dylan (Daria), Hannah, Douglas (Alyssa), Aidan, Eva, Timothy and Daniel.

She was a devout Catholic with an unwavering faith who appreciated all things beautiful: art, literature, film, nature, people and laughter.  She was known by her family and friends as a great conversationalist.  In her later years, she became a NY Knicks fan.

Joan was adored by her family and expansive friend community.  She enjoyed meeting people and introducing whomever she was with, to that new person.  She took time to let people know that she cared and was interested in them.

Joan had a healthy sense of humor and tried to see multiple perspectives of complex situations, and because of these wonderful characteristics, she will be missed by many.
