BERNADETTE I. HILD, 101
Bernadette Hild of Crestwood, New York passed away on June 19, 2015 of natural causes at the age of 101. She was born in New York City and was the daughter of the late William and Anna Grote. She was a graduate of the College of New Rochelle. Bernadette was married to her beloved husband George, who predeceased her in 1972. She was a long-time member of the Wykagyl Country Club, where she enjoyed golf, bowling and bridge. She was known for her very happy disposition and her love of her faith and her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bernadette is survived by her sister Dolores Kelty of Yardley Pennsylvania, two daughters and one son-in-law, Bernadette Bleichert of Scarsdale, NY and Patricia and Gilbert Klemann of Greenwich CT. She has four grandchildren, Tricia Hastry of Norfolk, MA, Maura Lee of Scarsdale, NY, Tricia Kapp of Greenwich, CT and Gilbert Klemann of Greenwich, CT. She also has fourteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and Edward Grote, and one granddaughter, Bernadette Kenney. Friends may call for Bernadette from 5pm to 8 pm on Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home at 20 Cedar Street, Bronxville, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:15 am on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Annunciation Church, 465 Westchester Avenue, Crestwood, NY.
