Grogan, Kieran J., Sr. October 13, 1960 - May 25, 2024

Kieran J Grogan Sr, Lifelong New Rochelle Resident
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of Kieran James Grogan Sr., who on May 25, 2024 lost his battle to a long illness. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Kieran was only 63.
Kieran, a lifelong New Rochelle resident, was passionate about being outdoors and working with his hands. He was an avid fisherman, whose journeys to locations near and far, led to big fish and lasting memories. When he wasn’t baiting a hook, Kieran enjoyed working on his many carpentry projects and tending to his garden, always proud to share home grown vegetables with family and friends. Kieran also liked to cook, and his chili was the perfect dish when watching football!
Kieran was a member of the Church of the Holy Family in New Rochelle, where he was a parishioner, student and athlete. Kieran was also a CYO basketball coach at Holy Family, where he had the privilege of coaching many young New Rochelle athletes including his own children.
Kieran’s true love and joy was his family. He was married to Christine Prudenti Grogan for 38 years, and together they had three children: John, and his wife Amanda; Kieran Jr., predeceased; and Tessa. Kieran was blessed to have a granddaughter, Tatum Paige, who always brought a smile to his face!

Kieran is also survived by five brothers, one sister along with family members and friends.

While we are saddened that Kieran has left us too soon, and he will be dearly missed, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with his son Kieran in heaven.

Family and friends are invited to bring their memories of Kieran to the visiting hours on Wednesday, 4 – 8 pm at Fred H McGrath & Son Funeral Home, 20 Cedar St, Bronxville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Thursday at Holy Family Church. Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven, Valhalla, NY

I am heartbroken to hear this news. Kieran & I had some epic summers together as teenagers.
We also went to each others proms! I’ll never forget those times. Praying for the family.
