January 23, 2019 at 6:15 pmMy heart goes out to my wife’s second family at this very sad time. From the first night I met Janet and her best friend (and my future mother-in-law), she welcomed me. She was never without a smile as bright as the sunshine she worshipped. Janet always made me feel at home – whether in Eastchester for Thanksgiving or Copake for Christmas. Though my over-the-top, flirtatious behavior probably got tired over the years, she humored me without fail. I’m so grateful for being invited to join her and the family up at Lake George the last two years. No one enjoyed it more than Janet – soaking up the sun in her favorite spot, surrounded by family, friends, her favorite foods and never, ever missing the moment. Janet embraced every one. Let your cocktail hours with John, Anne and Bob commence and rest peacefully knowing that you’ll always have the best spot in the sun.
