Virginia Marie (nee Fleming) Galbraith died Friday, April 8, 2016 at The Osborn in Rye, NY after a brief illness. She was born in New York on October 26,1919 to John N. and Frances (nee McAree) Fleming. Predeceased by Eugene J., her beloved husband of 40 years, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene K. and Irene Yuen of Jakarta, Indonesia and Hong Kong, and Robert Douglas and Julie Brenton, and two grandsons, Robert Douglas II and Woodward Brenton (“Buz”), of Bronxville, New NY. She began her career at Mobil in Manhattan and, after taking off several years to begin raising her sons, spent over twenty years at The Summit Trust Company of Summit, NJ and its successor organizations. For many years after retirement she volunteered at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. Reposing at the Fred McGrath and Son Funeral Home of Bronxville, Friday April 15, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Holy Mass at The Church of the Little Flower, Berkeley Heights, NJ on Saturday, April 16 at 10:00 am. Interment 11:00 am at St. Mary’s – Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung, NJ In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to The Osborn or the ALS Foundation .
