Calling Hours: 9 to 10 am Saturday, November 15, 2014

Memorial Mass: 10 am Saturday, November 15, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville

Emil Roland Fioravante died peacefully on October 6, 2014 with his family by his side. Emil was born and raised in Manhattan and the Bronx, NY. Immediately after high school, he enlisted and served honorably in the US Navy during WWII from 1942-1945. In 1951, he married Marie Decanio, his long-time sweetheart and dedicated wife until his death. Emil apprenticed with his father, a popular and talented clothing designer, and then used his formidable talents as a designer in his own rite when he opened his own clothing production company, Eiffel Productions in the garment district, NYC. He subsequently became a design and production consultant at several upscale clothing manufacturers including Liz Claiborne. Emil will be forever remembered as a strong-minded, kind hearted man, and particularly as a dedicated, passionate family man who took the greatest pleasures in the simple things in life – family summers in Belmar, NJ with his sister, brothers and his family, morning handball matches at Orchard Beach, Sunday dinners with Giants football and a glass of wine. And perhaps most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Kathryn Crabtree McCabe, Joseph Fioravante, Chrissy Crabtree, Danielle Fioravante, Lizzy Crabtree, and Maddy Crabtree. Emil is survived by all his grandchildren, his wife Marie, son Edward, brother Victor, sister Gloria, and many loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his older brother Vinnie, and his beloved namesake daughter Amy.

The family will receive friends and family at McGrath’s Funeral Home, Bronxville, NY on Saturday, November 15 from 9 to 10 a.m., with a funeral service immediately following at St. Joseph’s Church.
