Vincent W. Fealy, of Yonkers, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Vincent and Helen Fealy nearly a century ago on December 31, 1924. He is predeceased by his sister, Marilyn (Doll) Starkey.
At the young age of 18, he was called to duty and served in the United States Army in the European Theater during WWII. Upon return, he met the love of his life, Joan Wall and they married in 1955. They were blessed with three daughters Elaine (Tom) Goodwin, Gail (Frank) Conroy and Barbara Sullivan. He is the proud and devoted grandfather of Ernie (Kallie) Goodwin, Brendan (Erin) Goodwin, Jennifer (Brendan) Shanley, Chrissy (Thomas) Plate, Kevin (Melissa) Conroy, Meghan Conroy, Chris Sullivan and Katie Sullivan. He was further blessed by ten great grandchildren: Ryan, Claire and Rory Goodwin, Tara, Caitlin and Declan Goodwin, Grace and Kelly Shanley and Nora and Lucy Conroy. He is also survived by his dear sister-in-law, Barbara Wall, and his sister Marilyn’s children: Karen (Frank) Minichino, Donald Starkey, Grace (Steve) Bruno and Vincent (Lisa) Starkey.
Vincent was a successful banker at Chemical Bank. With the luxury of a very long retirement, his most exceptional role was being the quintessential grandfather and great-grandfather to 18.
The family will receive friends on Monday August 5th from 4-8 p.m. at Fred McGrath & Son Funeral Home in Bronxville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday August 6th at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Yonkers with interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson .
