James Fairclough, of Eastchester, NY, on May 23, 2018, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Nuala, loving father of Ian and Caitlin, devoted grandfather of 5. Jim proudly served as a combat engineer for the US Army during Tet Offensive earning the Purple Heart in the Vietnam War. He then went on to have a 35 year career as an English Teacher in the NYC Public School System. He will be fondly remembered as a great dad, coach, teacher and role model by all who were touched by him. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday and Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Wednesday, May 30 at 10:45 am.
