Dowling, Edward L. December 11, 1942 - September 29, 2018

Edward L Dowling, New Rochelle, NY passed away peacefully at home Saturday, September 29^th after a long battle against bladder cancer.  His daughter and wife were at his bedside. Ed was born December 11, 1942. His family emigrated from Tipperary, Ireland to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn when he was 13 years old. Golfing, reading and doting on his grandchildren were his passions.  As a former member of Wykagyl Country Club and current member of Rye Country Club, his playing buddies and friends will remember him for his dry wit and determination. He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Christine; and son-in-law, Matthew Kmetz, and two grandchildren, Caitlin and Keira.  Also surviving him are his brother, Andrew; sister, Pauline; a nephew and three nieces. A memorial gathering will be held at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 1 to 3pm Saturday, October 6, 2018.
