Donald Dennis DeLasho departed this earth on August 6, 2023 after a life fulfilled. He leaves behind his beloved wife Beverly and so many others that loved him. Don, as he was known, was born on November 9, 1935. He attended Yonkers schools and served his country in the US army at Fort Benning, Ga. He later co-owned DeLasho’s bakery, a neighborhood staple on Elm Street in Yonkers, NY working aside his dad Domino, brother Joseph, and brother in law Leonard. He was a dedicated son to Domino and his loving mother Jeannette and a devoted brother to James, Joseph, and Theresa.
Don’s uncanny witticisms, brightened the days of his twelve nieces and nephews who adored him. His unwavering commitment to the NY Yankees was unparalleled.
After decades of bachelorhood, Don married the love of his life Beverly Cucolo on August 11, 1996. His world would further blossom as he became a loving step-father and grandfather.
Don is pre-deceased by his parents Domino and Janette, brothers James and Joseph, sister Theresa, sister in law Julie and brother in law Leonard Antonacci. He is survived by his wife Beverly, his stepchildren Edward (Teresa), Lawrence (Jennifer) and Patricia, grandchildren Alexa, Michael, Luigi, Victoria, Vincent, Christian and Sydney, his sister in law Barbara and 19 grand nieces and nephews.

August 8, 2023 at 9:06 pmn August 11th 1996 we were blessed to have Don become part of our family. He embraced his role as stepfather and grandfather with such love and enthusiasm. Alexa, Luigi and Victoria adored and loved him.
On a personal note Don and I bonded over our mutual love of cars, the New York Yankees, and our Italian-American heritage. He would often joke with me saying that we are the only pedigrees in the family, so we need to stick together.
We will miss his laugh, generous heart, and wise words of wisdom. Rest In Peace Don, and know your beautiful soul will forever be entwined with ours.
