Virginia M. Cappelli (nee Delger) – Beloved wife of 59 years of Louis J. Cappelli Chairman of the Boards Sterling National Bank/Sterling Bancorp and treasured mother died after a long illness. Virginia was a lady of the Equestrian Order of the HolySepulchre of Jerusalem. Virginia will be missed by her husband and children Louis, Craig, Cheryl Craven, Michael and Stephen and their spouses and partners Alicia, Amy and Kevin and 10 grandchildren. She loved her family fiercely and unconditionally, they were her passion, purpose and joy. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath and Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville on Wednesday July 15 at 9:45 am. Your smile lit up a room, your meatballs were the best! Your thoughtfulness was appreciated and the Olive tree still grows.
