Elizabeth Martin Bowe of New Rochelle, NY, loving mother of Patrick Finbarr Bowe, passed away in her sleep on October 19, 2018 at the age of 50. She was predeceased by her mother, Ina Martin Rexford and is survived by her father, Allen Martin and his wife, Bonnie Reid Martin. Elizabeth was born in Boston, MA and raised in Vermont.
Elizabeth had a sparkling laugh, a sweet caring nature and a bubbly personality. She was a proud graduate of Williams College and Duke University Law School and practiced law at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City. Despite her accomplishments, Elizabeth was most proud of her son Patrick, now 14, an excellent student and outstanding athlete. She was an avid Red Sox fan and especially loved Nomar Garciaparra. She had a strong resemblance to her Aunt Jean, who Elizabeth adored, who passed away 6 months ago.
Elizabeth is also survived by her son Patrick Bowe, her brother, Sam Martin, his wife Drayton and their sons Allen and Peter, her Aunt Katherine, her Uncle Claudio, her Aunt Vicky, her Uncle Gary, her Aunt Kathy, her Uncle Glen and several beloved cousins.
Elizabeth was waked by her family and many friends at McGrath’s funeral home in Bronxville, and buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-the-Hudson after a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s in Bronxville on October 26, 2018.
