Bitton, Mary P March 27, 1939 - June 27, 2024

Mary P. Bitton, 85, passed away peacefully in Freehold, NJ, on Thursday, June 27, 2024. A lifelong New Yorker, she was born in the Bronx on March 27, 1939 to parents, predeceased Mary “Mamie” Healy and Thomas Francis Healy and older brother predeceased Thomas Patrick Healy. She is also predeceased by Thomas’ wife her sister in law, Peggy Healy.  In April of 1973 she would marry the love of her life Edward “Eddie” Bitton, who she is predeceased by him passing in May of 2014. The couple loved to travel together that was where they found their joy. When they weren’t traveling all around the country and transatlantic they would cross the border just south and come visit their nieces and nephew and their grandnieces and grandnephews in New Jersey. Mary and Eddie always made sure that they were there for all the life events. The joy and love they shared here is now going to be rekindled on the other side. She leaves behind her niece, Meg and Tom Mastandrea and their two children and Tara and Tim Gaggin and their two children, of Manalapan NJ. Patricia Newman and her daughter of Brick, NJ. Joyce Healy and predeceased Thomas D. Healy and their two sons. If you wish to show your respect and send Mary out one more time the arrangements are as follows on July 5, 2024: Calling Hours 9 to 10:30am at the Fred H. McGrath & Son funeral home (20 Cedar St., Bronxville) Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, (across the street from funeral home) at 10:45am.

    Deepest condolences to all the family on the sad loss of Mary Pat. Many fond memories of all her trips to Bonniconlon the birth place of her Mom & all the good times in New York. We will keep her in our prayers. RIP Mary Pat .
